Hot Air Ballon Vision - An Illustration of What the Lord is Doing in Hampton Roads
As
the Lord was pulling together Hampton Roads Simple Church Network;
several
leaders, hosts, and facilitators began to meet together for prayer.
During one
of our first meetings after a time of prayer the Lord gave the
following
prophetic vision to Dee Dee Johnson that illustrates what we believe
the Lord
is doing in Hampton Roads through simple church.
During a time of worship, I
began to see in my spirit beautiful, multi-colored hot air balloons
rising up
into the air...there were hundreds at many different levels.
I saw no
people in them and they appeared to be simply carried by the wind. I
heard only
one word, "effortless." Later, I saw the balloons approaching
a
very long mountain range. Additional balloons were rising up
from the
mountains and blending in with the first ones.
The balloons - I feel the
balloons certainly represent house churches, all at different
"levels" in their development.
The colors - The colors would
appear to represent the many and varied giftings of the people
themselves.
The wind - The wind that
directs the hot air balloons is the Holy Spirit. So we see each one of
the
house churches being driven by the wind and not human will, structures
of
hierarchy, or institutional government. This would certainly indicate a
sovereign
work of the Holy Spirit in raising these house churches and the people
who are
a part of them directing their individual ministries.
Effortless - Also the word
"effortless" indicates a sovereign work without human effort.
The balloons raising up from
the mountains - The balloons rising from a mountain range would seem to
indicate the raising up of governmental/5-fold ministries and
the fact
that they just blended in with the other balloons would seem to
indicate their
position as servants without any hierarchical structure (no
clergy/laity
division) because there was nothing to distinguish them from the other
balloons.
The large number - the
fact that there were hundreds of balloons would
indicate a large expansion in the number
of house churches.
